Progress

Hare Krishna,
Today was extremely hot.  I am making progress on the project, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.  I made a little offering of garden flowers on the make-shift altar today and posted pictures.  Tomorrow I am going to go to the local yoga studios and ask the teachers about doing Bhakti programs at their studios.  I also starting writing letters to inmates interested in Krishna Consciousness, which is a pretty intense service.  Some of them are very nice and some sound quite unbalanced and troubled, which is to be expected.  I've been offering fresh blackberries from the garden here and plenty of flowers, all from the land, which is wonderful.  My dream is to create a sanctuary for loving devotion, peace, and spiritual advancement.  Hare Krishna.

About Me

My photo
Vakreshvara Das
Haribol, My name is Vakreshvara Das. I recently moved back to Louisville, KY to start a Bhakti Yoga Center in my hometown, after nearly six years of traveling the USA. During that period I was experiencing living off-the-grid immersed in everything from counter-culture communes to ecovillages to yoga ashrams. I spent my last two years living in International Society for Krishna Consciousness centers across the US. The impulse to return to Louisville and start this project is a big personal change for me. I am hoping in this blog I do not sound proud of the achievements and efforts here, but offer it all up to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and that he and the work of his servitors inspires you and others to begin or deepen your own spiritual journey. This is an ambitious effort but by the causeless mercy of my spiritual masters and Sri Chaitanya's grace it just might be successful. I hope to benefit the consciousness of Louisville and help raise the vibration to a divine level, and hopefully I will someday achieve real love and devotion to Radha and Krishna. Please enjoy this blog and email me for any reason.
